What kind of equipment do you use to grind stumps?

Piedmont Stump Grinding currently has two stump grinders it can utilize on your property depending upon what the job may need.

The smaller of the two is the 2020 RayCo RG37. It’s not small by any means; it’s just the smallest one we use to take care of stumps across North Carolina.

The RG37 features a gasoline engine that produces 37 horsepower to take care of stumps that stand in its way.

The RG37 is 35 inches wide and 52 inches tall. Its total weight is just shy of a ton at 1,830 pounds.

Our second stump grinder is the RayCo RG80.

The RG80 has an 85 horsepower gasoline engine that is sure to spell doom for any stumps that stand in its way. The RG80 also features a hydrostatic cutter wheel drive.

The RG80 is 35.5 inches wide with the blade folded in and the dual wheels removed. It stands at 55 inches tall.

The “Big Daddy” of our stump grinding fleet weighs in at 3,230 pounds.

The RG37 and RG80 are manufactured by Morbark LLC of Winn, Michigan.

The company has been producing professional equipment for over 60 years.
